Australia has the highest rate of skin cancer in the world. Every year over 430,000 Australians are diagnosed with skin cancer and 1,600 people will die from the disease.

Non Melanoma Skin Cancers are the most common cancers diagnosed in Australia, with approximately 430,000 new cases estimated to have been diagnosed in 2008.

Western Australia has the second highest rate of skin cancer in the country, behind Queensland. The good news is that it is preventable by minimising exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun.

Established in 2009, Bunbury Skin Cancer Clinic (Bunbury SCC) is dedicated to exceptional skin cancer diagnosis, treatment, prevention and education.

A holistic and integrated clinical-pathologic approach is vital for the most efficient treatment of skin cancer in individual patients.
